About Us

Celebrate Ballona! is a series of events being organized by Ballona Institute to celebrate the public acquisition of 600+ acres of the Ballona Wetlands.

After more than 25 years of citizen effort, this once impossible dream became a reality, when the State of California acquired Ballona through a partnership with Trust for Public Land. Now is the time to honor the leaders of this triumph and for the public to take formal ownership of their land.

It is time to Celebrate Ballona!

All proceeds from Celebrate Ballona! will go toward defraying legal costs incurred during the campaign for the public acquisition of the Ballona Wetlands, as well as toward ongoing stewardship, educational, and advocacy programs specifically related to protecting and preserving this important natural treasure.

All contributions to Celebrate Ballona! are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
